Emerging out of the overcast skies, crisp air, and long dark nights of the chilliest season, the band Born In Winter is formed. Hailing from Denver, Colorado, this female fronted band brings a new and fresh excitement to the hard rock and metal music genre. Due to their wide range of influences, their music has a one of a kind sound. They are a new force not to be taken lightly, with their heavy guitars, haunting vocals and diverse rhythms. Try taking music styles from bands like Sevendust, Atreyu, Deftones and adding a badass female vocalist in the style of Lacuna Coil and Evanescence. If you like that mix, you’ll love Born In Winter.
Born In Winter has been together for 5 years in Denver (8 years total) and has put out 3 full length cd’s. They are currently working on their new album with producer Ahrue Luster, (Ill Nino) with Illustrious Productions. It is schedule to be released on August 22nd, 2008, and will be followed up by a 3 week east coast, US tour. The tour will cover more than 15 states and 4500 miles, which shows this band is willing and ready to hit the national scene with full speed!
They have played many shows across the west coast, hometown of Denver and surrounding states. They are always looking to play shows out of town and gain new fans and exposure. Over the past couple of years they have blown up in the Denver scene playing some of the biggest and well known clubs, theaters and stadiums including: regular rotation at the well known Herman’s Hideaway, The Oriental Theater, The Bluebird Theater, The Gothic Theatre and the Pepsi Center! (home of the Colorado Avalanche and Colorado Crush)
Their stage presence and showmanship is one of a kind, especially with having 2 females in the band. They’re building their fan base with every performance and making a name for themselves through hard work and determination. What keeps Born In Winter alive and running is the fact that they are like family. Their bonds are strong and will persevere through any obstacle in their path to success. Their commitment and enthusiasm along with musicianship and experience will insure them success with their dreams.
