In the beginning of 2008, after a long hiatus, Mike, Jake, Luke, (from the ashes of the disbanded metal band Arcron) and the new addition of Mitch, on guitars, began to form a four piece. For this time, the band was a jamming instrument with which the members expressed ideas and began to mold ideas into actual songs. In December of 2008, Isaac was added to the roster as lead vocalist for the newly evolved and named, Ashes of Ruin.
