Metal Denver is community driven and the one place you can go for all your metal needs in Denver. Our goal is to provide accurate, current, and complete information. About The Creator

My name is Jack Rugile, thanks for checking out Metal Denver! I am 20 years old and love to play music. I started playing drums when I was in 5th grade and learned how to play guitar my freshman year of high school. I love both equally. My interest and passion for metal music began with in school also.

I grew up in Basalt, CO (30 minutes from Aspen, CO) and went to Yampah Mountain High School in Glenwood Springs, CO. My first metal band was called Before Darkness. We specialized in Metallica covers and out of tune instruments. It was fun for the time being and I learned a lot about playing music with others.

My second metal band was a wild ride. Our name was Stealth. You can listen to some of our tracks at Stealth’s MySpace profile. We played many shows around town and won a couple of battle of the bands, but we all eventually went our seperate ways.

I am currently living about ten minutes south of downtown Denver. I was recently looking online for some information about Denver’s metal scene, but failed to find a reliable and centralized source. I took the matter into my hands and created Metal Denver. I wanted a place online where Denver’s metal community can interact, promote, advertise, and discuss everything that is metal.
